# AgentLine Agent Reference

> Level-one AgentLine reference for coding agents. US phone numbers, voice calls, transcripts, and inbound SMS for AI agents. Numbers are $2.00/month; calls are $0.10/minute.

The API is https://api.agentline.cloud and the MCP server is https://api.agentline.cloud/mcp; this site, https://agentline.md, is a Markdown reference for agents only. If it disagrees with agentline.cloud, trust agentline.cloud.

## Quickstart

1. Get a key: `POST https://api.agentline.cloud/v1/auth/otp {"email":"..."}`, then `POST https://api.agentline.cloud/v1/auth/verify {"email":"...","otp":"123456"}` returns `api_key`.
2. Create an agent: `POST https://api.agentline.cloud/v1/agents {"name":"My Agent"}` returns `agt_...`.
3. Buy a number ($2.00/month): `POST https://api.agentline.cloud/v1/numbers {"agent_id":"agt_...","country":"US","area_code":"415"}`.
4. Make a call ($0.10/min): `POST https://api.agentline.cloud/v1/calls {"agent_id":"agt_...","to_number":"+12125557890"}` returns `call_...`.
5. Read the transcript: `GET https://api.agentline.cloud/v1/calls/{call_id}/transcript`.

Steps 2 to 5 send `Authorization: Bearer $AGENTLINE_API_KEY`. New accounts start at $0; add credit before step 3.

## Prices

- US phone number: $2.00 per month.
- Voice calls, inbound and outbound: $0.10 per minute. One-minute minimum on connected calls, then per second. Unconnected calls are free.
- Inbound SMS: $0.02 per message.
- No subscription. Calls need at least $0.50 of balance to start.
- Example: one number plus 300 minutes is $32.00 a month before SMS.
